💛 Separation & Drop-Off Transitions 

Children may be sensitive to separating from parents, and this is completely normal. Some children may cry or become upset at drop-off, especially during the first few days or even a few weeks into the program. Others may not experience separation issues at all. Please know that we will provide each child with the extra love and support they need.

If your child is upset at drop-off, we will contact you once they are settled into the classroom to provide an update.



You may also notice that your child cries at pick-up. Seeing you again and realizing that you came back can bring on big emotions—we see this often, and it is completely normal.

🚪 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures  

• Drop-off and pick-up take place at the front door only.
• Due to limited space, parents are not permitted inside the school.
• Doors open promptly at the start of class (for example, a 9:00 AM class will open at 9:00 AM). Our teachers are busy preparing the classroom beforehand.
• At dismissal, please be waiting outside the door at your child’s scheduled pick-up time.

If you are running late, please call the school to inform us. We understand that things happen. However, if you are late more than three times, a fee of $1 per minute will be applied.

🧼 Health & Hygiene 

• Hand sanitizer will be used upon entering the classroom and before snack to help keep germs away.
• Toys are placed in a cleaning bin after use and sanitized after class.

🎒 Backpacks & Supplies  

Each child must have a large backpack containing:

• A change of clothes
• Diapers/pull-ups if needed

Please label all items.



You will receive a supply list from your child’s lead teacher. We will offer two days prior to the start of school to drop off supplies. Kindly label one bag containing all supplies. Throughout the year, we may request additional supplies.

Donations of copy paper, baby wipes, tissues, Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, and zip-lock bags are always greatly appreciated.

🍎 Snacks & Lunchboxes  

• All snacks and cups must be placed in a clearly labeled lunchbox.
• If a lunchbox is not clearly labeled, we will use masking tape to label it for safety and organization. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

🚫 We are a peanut-free and nut-free school.

🚫 Foods not allowed at school due to choking hazards include popcorn, candy, celery, carrots, hot dogs/meat, meat sticks/jerky, beans, corn, and peas.

🚫 Please cut up grapes, strawberries, apples, cucumbers, and cheese sticks due to choking hazards.

🚫 For the safety of all children, please do not send any snacks or drinks in glass containers.

📬 Communication  

Please ensure you are receiving emails and Remind App messages. If not, notify your lead teacher.

• Check your child’s communication folder daily for notes and completed work.
• Make sure notifications are turned on for the Remind App.

💵 Tuition & Registration  

• Tuition is due by the 1st of each month.
• Tuition received after the 3rd will incur a $35 late fee.
• Payments may be made by cash or check (made payable to WT of Miller Place Inc.).
• Receipts are provided for all cash payments.
• If you anticipate a delay, please communicate with us before the 3rd, and we are happy to waive the late fee.

Registration includes:

• Registration fee (non-refundable)
• June tuition (last month of school – non-refundable)

⏰ Before & After Care  

We offer 30 minutes of before care OR after care for 2½-hour classes only (not for 3-hour classes).

• One option only (not both)
• One week’s notice required
• Monthly and daily rates available

📄 Required Documents  

Before the first day of school, we need:

• Updated immunization record
• Copy of driver’s license for all approved pick-ups
• Any pick-up restriction letters
• EpiPen instructions (if applicable)

These can be submitted during the Meet & Greet.

❄️ Weather Closures  

Closures will be announced on News 12, Facebook, Instagram, Remind App/Homeroom App, and via email.
